While conversing with Kika this evening about the current and passed events, I was reminded of the uncanny phenomenon of society's silence, whether genuine or intentional, to the state of the world.....
Is it just me or does it seems just screwed up how there is so much going on in the world, but yet not enough people have the friggin CAJONES to lash out.....Is it a risk?...Damn right it is....Wouldn't that make you a black sheep?...Damn right it might....But you know what?...At least you'll have your daggum dignity....At least you'll konw that you did something right....At least you'll know that you didn't just go with the program, said not a word, and admired the Emperor's new clothes....Daggonit, TELL HIM HE IS NAKED....
Recently, I've gained much more admiration for the LA Riots....Why?...Because they were a reaction for a cause, for a JUST cause....Rodney King was beat down by 4 policemen on video....That video was shown worldwide on the television and over the internet....When it came time for the verdict of the case a year later...those SAME policemen, the ones who we all SAW beat the man senseless, were let off free from the case....As a result, riots ensued....Riots that spoke OUT against the ridiculous nature and outcome of such a heinous crime....Illegal?...Maybe....But with the given circumstances, the line between Justice and Crime was sure enough blurred even more than it already was.....I respect the Riots....I commend the Riots....Of the People, For the People, By the People....
Now...Look around you...and if you can sit here, reading this, or at any time for that matter, say that everything in the world is fine, or that there are only jut a few minor glitches....then brother/sister, you are sadly mistaken.....
Observe, if you will, the more recent event of Abner Louima....Now, it was basically the same scenario...Though there were not any videos to use as evidence, there were physical showings of what was done to this man and when it came time for those cops to recieve the jury's decision, they too were let off scott free...But what was different, was that there was one man, Charles Schwarz, who only recieved 5yrs sentence starting December 27, 2002...(By the way, it was originally set for the 3rd, but the judge pushed it back to allow him Christmas at home...nonsense)...Two of the 4 cops, Thomas Weise and Thomas Bruder, are awaiting a hearing as they ask for their jobs back...(Both were accused for obstructing justice by covering up facts of the crime; it was overturned...nonsense)...The 4th pig, Mr. Jutin Volpe, matter of fact, scratch the "Mr." part, he deserves not the respect of that title...Right, Volpe, the one who actually sodomized Mr. Louima with the plunger while the others held him down, pleaded guilty and was given 30yrs....What strikes me most about this case, is that it took numerous re-trials, near "hung-jury" verdicts, and nearly 6 years to got some results....
Look at Amadou Diallo...This was a man who "fit the description" of what the policemen were looking for....Basically, he was a Black male....He turned around, reached for his wallet, and got shot at...Not once....Not twice...Heck, not even 20 times....41 shots were fired....19 hit the man, 1 piercing from front to back....They say that it's because they were scared, they say that it's because it looked like a weapon....And I already mentioned how he fit a description....Forgive me if you actually know a cop, are a cop, or just like cops...wait screw that, I'm not apologizing for ANYTHING....Oh-Friggin-Well....These are policemen, people that are supposed to protect you and I, they are trained in stand-off situations, they are trained to keep their cool more so than the "average" man, they are taught how to handle a blasted situation such as this....So don't give me that crap about, "they are still human"...If these men were let out on the streets, they must have passed some test to prevent such an occurance...This is total, utter, crap....And these were SPECIAL CRIMES UNIT police....they are HIGHLY and SPECIALLY trained for high intensity circumstances!!!....But what happened?....They were aquitted and faced no charges....CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT!?!?!...Instead, an NYPD panel decided that no disciplinary action should be taken, instead they just won't carry guns until the commissioner sees it fit....NONSENSE!!!!
How about this one?...The United States is being sued for the developement of the AIDS virus....Flowcharts and the likes have been found and uncovered by Mr. Boyd Graves showing the work of the United States government in the creation of the AIDS virus....Observe if you will....People have been sleeping around, prostituting, etc for thousands of years...Nothing...1970's however, we were informed of the dangers of "Free Love" in that you can contract this new killer desease known as Acute Immune Deficiancy Syndrome (AIDS for short)...Since then, there has YET to be a cure found (though I feel there is but for economic reasons, won't be released so that money can come in to buy only treatments), and when there is something close, it actually accommodates itself to counteract a treatment....A smart virus is a dangerous virus....Mr. Graves has brought this knowledge to the public, but what happened?...NOTHING!!!....but my friends...BUT!!!...Please believe that if there is the slightest whisper that there is beef between two prominent rappers, or that a movie star has a new lover, the world will know by the end of the week....So WHY then has it been over a year since this man has told us of the horrendous actions of this "Fine Govenment", and NO ONE has picked up the cause and spoken out to the mass media?....Does this not worry you about where our interests lie?...About where we are allowing ourselves to stare where we should only glance and vice versa?
I heard someone call G.W. Bush the President-Elect....the man was not elected, he was chosen....The PUBLIC vote, displayed PUBLICLY on PUBLIC television stated that the majority of the PUBLIC wanted Gore....SO WHY THE HELL DID BUSH BECOME THE PRESIDENT!?!?!?...I sure as hell is hot thought that citizens decided they're leader....And don't give me that "Electoral College" mess either...Thats nothing more than you deciding who you want to decide who should be President, you give you power to them when you support them...I say DOWN WITH THE ELECTORAL COLLEGE!!!...They are not living as the lower and middle class citizen, so how then can they understand FULLY our needs and desires?....
September 11th was tragic, yes...But that is still no reason to want to just go and bomb a country because "they started it"....That's no excuse to say "Oh it's payback"...1st off, its not the COUNTRY that attacked, the criminals were just controlling that country....But no one seems to realize that, they refuse to realize that, they just want someone to hit back....And while we're on the topic, if Iraq says that they have nothing, and agree with what is asked EACH TIME...Why does Bush then say "I don't believe you, show me more" ?....I mean, thats like me saying, "Tell me the truth," you comply, and then i say "I don't believe you, you're lying"....WHAT THE HECK!?!?!?...He gets what he wants each time, but now he's just LOOKING for a war....I think it's because he's the Disappointment Child...I mean, brother is big stuff in Florida, father was a President, and all he did was get busted for drugs (by the way, he got busted, but later got to be President....Let a black guy get busted, and he'll have a hard time finding any job for the rest of his life)...If he wages a war and wins, well, he'd be big stuff and PROVE he's not the loser he really is....I'm sorry, but George W. Bush is the poster-child for condoms and seperate beds.....
OK..By now you must be tired of reading, but this is my final point...A summation of it all....Notice the difference between these things and the Rodney King case....They rioted for King....But lifted not a brow for anything else...People, the power is within us to make a change...You don't like the world, then CHANGE IT!!!....RISE UP!!!!...FIGHT THE POWER!!!...Band together, form groups, discuss what's going on, formulate a plan, lat your voice be heard....because no one else will speak it for you....Write to your local news provider as I have done, print posters and flyers...If Truth can do it for cigarettes, then why won't you do it for humanity and justice?....This world is damned already, we know this, but help others to know this as well....I cannot understand how anyone can see thse things going on around them and only care about who Tom Cruise is dating or who has the best celebrity wedding...NO!!!...The time is NOW...ANTI-AMERICAN? YES!!!....And I am within reason...If that labels me as a so-called terrorist, then let that be the case...I'd rather be called one thing and let my actions prove otherwise, than to take no action at all and live a shame.....I support the riots...I do, they were the peoples' voice, because no one would listen....And i do suggest that we all do the same...You may not be a riot person, but speak, shout, spread word...Do SOMETHING!!!....Do it for JUSTICE!!!...Do it for HUMANITY!!!...DO it for YOU!!!...
