As much as we like to believe that we are equal...That there is no inequity within the shores and borders of this nation...That it is not true...Minorities are still descriminated against...They are still looked down upon...Clauses are made to move AROUND the placed "equality laws"...Loopholes if u will...It's in the schools, it's in the workplace, its in the society....Hell....It's even in the media....Barbie's little Black side-kick....still runnin strong (in the background) with her hair permed, nails polished, being all superficial....But how many of our younger sisters know about Kenya?....You know the doll...the black girl with the ethnic attire that celebrated Kwanzaa...If ya remember, kudos to you....If not...You've proven my point....How many times have we seen a family like the Huxtables? A Doctor, a Lawyer, a bunch of respectable, educated children in a nice home......Who do we have now?...All the black shows on UPN (Unwanted Portrayal of Negroes), Steve Harvey, and more.....And when there is a somewhat respectable black family...why can they not go one day with out some crazy hair-brained antics?....Hmph...All the aprents are now comedians, singers, hotel owners, and nothing thats considered of high prestige...Only the dude on ER...but how often do they show his face?....
Ludacris was cut off of the Pepsi payroll, by insistence of a Mr. Bill O'Reilly...his platform was that they are letting woman-abusing, drug-using thugs represent the company in bad taste....Now correct me if I am wrong...But what about a Ms. Brittney Spears?..."I'm a Slave For You"?...Girl goes around degrading herself, selling her body....but no...We don't think about here.....
My friends....In the midwest, there are people who ahve never heard of, or know very little about Malcolm X....As youths, we are taught that inventions such as the light-bulb are works of white men....But how many of us know that it was actually his very own slave that came up with the whole creation?....Why is it that we are taught very little about slavery, given a whole paragraph on it....But last time i checked, slavery was a MAJOR part of US history...this nation was built upon the backs of Afrikan slaves...but they don't tell u that it's implied....There is TONS of information out there that is not fed to as children...Only in college are we given the option of learning such a thing...but by that time, we're brain-washed with what we have been wrongfully taught.....
My bretheren this is yet another call to you all to stop and look at what is going on around you in this nation....There is so much out there that needs our dire atteniton and yet we are blinded and fooled into thinking that it is noit serious and that it was just a jok and that we are just being too much of a BLACK PANTHER well I tell you wut.....Huey saw the truth....Malcolm X saw the truth....Big Martin King swa the daggum truth...so why is it that you will not....why is it that out of the few blacks that we have in this nation in relation to the whites, do we have so few revolutionary leaders....It seems that the few that we do have, though maybe not all...but the few nonetheless, are labeled Uncle Tom's and such...Let us go back to the past...so that we can buld our TRUE and needed future....We need that vigor...just because they say the war is over...does not mean that it actually is....Don't take what is given to you with out looking for it first....For the Apple of Truth that is placed in your hands just may harbor the Worm of Deciet......
