The Art of the Mind
Well....today's entry is about the corrupt stance of the powers that be...today's Power is that of the media...yes the media...i'm talking ABC, NBC, BET, MTV, and *hmph* even QVC...

I have realized that, within the advertisements that these, and many more (including radio and internet), venues have promoted and strived to stuff down the throats of the public, they have virtually brain-washed the unwitting consumer into believeing that "this" is cool and "that" is not...therefore, increasing sales of only certain and numerous goods, regardless of the valued opinions and preferences of the buyer...take, for example, the uncanny phenomenon of purchasing a good without any beneficiary purpose or reason, only to find that the time where "you never know when you're gonna need it" really never does arrive, therefore concluding in the loss of one's money for the mere purpose of "it was a good idea at the time"...or purhaps the strange occurance of buying a product of a simple design over a product of same design, but a less-popular maker?...and while we are on the topic, how about just simply buying the "preferred" product previously mentioned due to the fact that it has a stupid swoosh-mark, three parallel lines, or a jumping basket ball player on them?...to the knowledgable, ever-conscious eye, this ridiculous point of events is quite obvious, however, to those that are not aware of teh happenings, those who just spend money to be "hip", "cool", or "fly", there is absolutely nothing wrong with this...in fact, one must question the validity of the catch phrases associated with these products...how exactly can one item be the best thing about...and within a season, one becomes persecuted for associating themselves with such a product...surely not ALL members of a certain "focus group" (-16, 17-35, 36-50, 51+) can can think on the same wave length oh desire just because the add on teh screen claims its "The best product around..." or, my perosnal favorite, "New and Improved!"...no, there must certainly be some sort of intervention employed which produces such convenient, timely, desired results...I feel taht the only possible way that such an anti-mainstream thought process, such as my own, is lacking in today's society as a result of not only brainwashing to implant desired ideas, but one that also removes undesired ones as well...this way, one has no choice but to comply with the ideas strategically placed in the consumer's mind, since he has not the capacity to concieve opposing thoughts any longer...as a concluding point, one must also take into consideration the sudden surge of the opposition to liberal, and free-minded thinking...why else would the general public (those which support and patron the goods and services of the brainwashing, mainstream suppliers) become subject to such ridicule for wearing the "wrong" shoes, eating the "wrong" foods, sipping the "wrong" drinks, and hearing teh "wrong" bands?...they are subliminally convinced and programmed to force the "wrong" thinking people into becoming the "cool", "hip", and "fly" thinking people...
