I dunno....I think i wrote an entry such as this one a while agi, but hey, wutever, i'll write it again.....anyway...as I'm down here in the south....I have come to realize that we have really yet to overcome....With the abundance of dirty looks and "sizing up" that i get down here, I'm not so much upset at them as I am at those who have "taught" me that everything is fine, we all equal, and we don't go through all that Civil Rights stuf any longer.....Well u konw wut?....She only got 1 out of 3 right....and unfortunately, for the wrong reason....Whatever happened to the Civil Rights Movement?....have we become so brainwashed and pacified with Affirmative Action and the "Token-Black-Guy" that we put the real cause of the struggle aside?....My friends, we are at a point in time where, more and more, faces are fading away and only "User Name"s exist...but yet and still we are victim to the bigotry of a racist nation....Does that not raise a red flag in your heads?...Too many times do we ahve to rush home and watch the Hughley's act a fool or see wut dumb stuff Hits is gonna do next....But yet, as Chuck D put it....the powers that be have "reduced black faces to blackface"....Keeping the idea of Chuck in mind, Public Enemy's most recent attempt to make a statement has been somewhat thwarted by MTV as they, Public Enemy, said
"Free Mumia"....This here is a political statement, a statment of speech, one that brings at least a piece of the real world, and true to life issues to the mass population that watches MTV....but of course this couldn't b aired for the fact that it cannot show OVERTLY political videos......However, they CAN allow girls jiggling, dudes smoking, guns toting, and yet....They can't air a video for the cause of an obviously innocent man's life....Bigotry indeed....Now, before you go and say, "Well thats why i watch BET"....Explain to me how a white guy is gonna own a channel entitled "BET"?...That's right...Sumner Redstone, CEO of Viacom owns BET....as well as MTV, CBS, UPN, Nickalodeon, et al....Now i'm not preaching racism or anything like that, but.....You seriously cannot truthfully be comfortable with the fact that the ONLY channel which is "dedicated" to placing Brothers and Sisters in the lime light, is not owned AT ALL by a Brother or Sister....It's ridiculous....but no, we have overome.....My friends, the only thing that we have trully overcome was a boat ride over the Atlantic about 400yrs ago....Other than that...we have been placed into mental slavery....learning controlled and censored information....doctored to force us to believe one thing, oblivious of the truth, or at least the whole truth, therfore leaving the sleeping giant at rest....We hear how the Holocaust was such a wretched act and such....and thats true....but when the blood is now on the hands of the US....you notice how the ridicule and repremanding somewhat quiets down?....Yeah, i thought so....
Well....I have class now...unfortunately, so I must depart, howeer, i amy either edit this entry, or add to it later....who knows....i'll b back nonetheless....
